Another Justin Timberlake Track

Justin Timberlake feat. Will.i.Am - Damn Girl
Okay, so I lied. Here's another Justin Timberlake song that I'm actually feeling. It's got a real soulful feel to it. One of those happy songs.

Just in case anyone is wondering why I'm uploading one Justin Timberlake song at a time, it's because I like to listen to my music 10 times through before actually trying to pass judgement on it. A lot of times, I may hear a song once and think that it totally blows, but after the 10th time, the song may have actually grown on me. Anyhow, so this is how this song surfaced, after the tenth time of bumping the Future Love/Sex Sounds cd on my iPod, this one stood out.

Small Update

Nothing really new happening with my usually-always-growing collection of music. Been listening to this Justin Timberlake song on repeat even when I'm away from my computer because it's stuck in my head. Very chill. Very mellow.

Justin Timberlake - Until The End Of Time

Oh, and these two Joe Cds here. It's a little on the older side, but still good.

Joe - And Then

R&B Update

I'm going to try to update more frequently within the next week or so. It's been a crazy little while moving into my new place...

So here goes with the whole one and a half songs that I actually like from what has been leak of the new Justin Timberlake disc:

1. My Love featuring T.I. This one is all over the Internet now for a good reason: it's the only full-length track that sounds like a hit so far.

2. Summer Love / Set the Mood.
Set the Mood is the one that sounds good. Summer Love is alright - nothing special, really - but Set the Mood, the good track, is only about 20-some odd seconds long.

Okay, so away from popular scene releases, here's some tracks to get everyone ready for fall. What I mean by this is music that makes you want to grab a fleecy blanket to chill with and drown yourself in a R&B playlist for an hour or so.

Marc Nelson - Forever. Apparently this is his newest single. If a new single is any indicator of a new album, I'm excited. Great track. Smooth, just the way R&B should be.

Joe - Can't Turn Back The Hands Of Time. This one has a jazzy feel to it. Obviously an older Joe track, but either unreleased or slipped by unnoticed through all these years.

Speaking of Joe, here's his "All That I Am" Album for download. I'm going to try to get And Then... and Better Days up in the next few days as well so come back for those if you're interested.

Cherish - Whenever. Here's one of the several pretty darn good tracks off the new Cherish CD.

Cherish - Show And Tell. Here's a bedroom song for people who like their R&B in the bedroom. =)

Albums

Rihanna - A Girl Like Me

Not sure why, but I've been listening to this CD a whole lot lately. It's finally starting to ring well with these ever-so-critical ears of mine. "P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You)" is a tight jam.

Outkast - Idlewild (Original Soundtrack)

Haven't listened through this one yet, but I have it, and it's new so let's share.

Here's Another One... Yeah

Bone Thugz N Harmony - Don't Stop

Hot new single. Heavily sampled beat, but whatevz. I'm all about music that's easy on the ears.

Jason Wandz - Scream

Kinda reminds me of Bobby Valentino. This track is alright. Maybe all this cat needs at a good chance is a few more listens.

Smitty feat. Joe - Everyday

I'm sure this song has been upped 50bajillion times at 50bajillion places (or at least I think it's good enough to have been), but I'm totally feelin the chorus. Summery-chill.

Monica feat. Twista - Hell No

Mo' needs to make more tracks like this. The tempo is a little slowed down, which is a nice change from "Everytime The Beat Drop." Reminds me of that Mariah Carey track on the Twista CD, but less gangster.

While on the note of ETTBD, the video did it's job and made me like this song that I thought was pretty damn annoying when it first came out. I guess im just no used to the 'hood vibe coming from Monica.

Enjoy. =)

Albums?

So the computing services people at the university are threatening to revoke my Internet priveledges if I keep abusing the bandwidth. This means I'm stuck doing all my uploads from home, which isn't exactly fun at the moment seeing I'm upping at about 20kb/s max.

Anyhow, I've been listening to a lot of older R&B stuff on iPod and iBook lately so I decided to share some of it with the few nice people who frequent this site. There will be a few more coming with time. I'm still getting to know lots of these webhosts and I'm starting to think that sendspace isn't exactly reliable seeing files are only active for 7 days or for 25 downloads only.

Anyhow, bedtime for me. Enjoy.

I'm not sure if I want to say that Az Yet is awesome or if Marc Nelson, one of (if not the only) lead singer of Az Yet is awesome. The Az Yet cd was great, but most of the other guys in the group did little for it and Marc Nelson seemed to stand out the most for me. Then again, when it was time for Marc Nelson to do his own thing, his CD Chocolate Mood wasn't that great either.

One of my favourite Toni Braxton Cd's. "Gimme some" with Left-Eye has a wicked beat, "The Heat" has an even better beat and the vocals are just all around tight.
